It is a beautiful stag beetle with a bright greenish hue and strong luster throughout its body. Unlike the stag beetle and sawtooth stag beetles that live in Japan, the male's mandibles are large and curved. In the 3D model, you can observe their distinctive jaws and the shape of their legs, which they use to cling strongly to their opponents.
In the tomographic images, one can see how the muscles are packed over most of the body. We can also observe structures that follow the contours of the body and are covered with dense structures indicative of the exoskeleton, as well as spongy structures inside the mandible.
